- What in the world is TK?! Terrific Kids? Well, yes, but actually TK stands for Transitional Kindergarten. All of my students are 5 years old and they have all been through a 4 year old Pre-K program. With the NC law 3 years ago they would have been able to enter public kindergarten. However in 2009, NC made a change to the birthday cut off which left over 13,000 students having to wait another year to start Kindergarten. Schools had to adjust their curriculum or add a whole new class...welcome to Transitional Kindergarten!
My name is Kristy Serdinsky aka Ms Kristy. I was born and raised in a small PA town and moved to NC 7 years ago. I am married and have a beautiful blended family with 4 children. My 2, Ethan and Isabella and my 2 awesome bonus kiddos, Allison and Madelyn.
I absolutely love teaching. Besides being a mom, it's the best job in the world! I teach a very small class at a private school here in North Carolina.
