Hello Michigan!!

This week on our road trip, we stopped to talk about Michigan!
Here are a few things we learned!

The American Robin is Michigan's state bird.  Hey, it's also one of the first signs of spring!!

Henry Ford was born July 30, 1863, on a farm in Greenfield Township (near Detroit, Michigan)
Ford produced his first experimental car in 1893 and founded the Ford Motor Company in 1903.

Michigan has around 150 lighthouses, the most of any U.S. state. The first lighthouses in Michigan were built between 1818 and 1822. They were built to project light at night and to serve as a landmark during the day to safely guide the passenger ships and freighters traveling the Great Lakes.
